Yes, Classy Closets is a direct manufacturer, allowing us full control over the quality of our products from start to finish. Unlike many companies in our industry, we do not source pre-fabricated parts from distant suppliers. This control over manufacturing also provides us with the flexibility to make design adjustments quickly when needed.
Yes, we offer over 40 exquisite real wood finishes and provide customers with options for custom stains or paint finishes. Our material substrates, including pressboard, MDF, and plywood, are selected based on the type of laminate or veneer being adhered to them. Melamine, the primary laminate used in closets and furniture, requires a smooth and stable surface, which makes particleboard the ideal substrate. We use only the highest quality industrial-grade pressboard, in contrast to the standard commercial grade used by many competitors.
Absolutely! We utilize wood veneers adhered to plywood or MDF substrates for our products. Our standard wood veneers are made with top-quality calibrated core plywood, ensuring durability and a refined appearance.
Wood veneer consists of thin slices of wood that are glued to a substrate core, producing flat panels with a consistent grain pattern. Solid wood planks wide enough for cabinet cases are often unavailable in many hardwood species and are prone to warping and curling over time. Veneers are typically used for flat panel surfaces like cabinet cases and closets, while solid woods are employed for decorative fronts, such as raised panel and shaker styles, as well as moldings.
The aging process can affect the color of some materials, while others maintain their consistency. For instance, laminates like melamine will not change color even when exposed to sunlight. In contrast, real woods tend to darken over time. Since wood is a natural product, the specific species and finish can influence the degree of aging.
Adjustable Shelving on Pins:
1. To move a shelf in closets, garage cabinets, or furniture shelves behind doors, begin by lifting one end of the shelf approximately 2 inches.
2. Pull the shelf out while removing all four shelf pins.
3. Reinsert the shelf pins at your desired height.
4. Replace the shelf.
Note: Pliers may assist in removing shelf pins if they are difficult to handle.
Fixed Shelving:
1. Use a Phillips screwdriver to unlock the Knock Down (KD) fittings located on the bottom or underneath the shelf.
2. Lightly tap beneath the shelf until it detaches from the fasteners.
3. Pull the shelf out gently.
Cleaning Melamine and High-Pressure Laminate Systems:
• Wipe down surfaces with a damp cloth and a suitable cleaner, such as glass cleaner or 409.
• For stubborn spots, like glue or ink, use a small amount of mineral spirits or Goo Gone.
• Avoid using abrasive cleaners on laminate products.
Cleaning Wood Products:
• Endust is recommended for cleaning wood surfaces.
